Jacob Wible seeks election to Blair County Board of Supervisors

Altoona native Jacob Wible is seeking the Republican nomination for election to the Blair County Board of Supervisors for a six-year term.
Elected to serve as Blair County auditor in November 2023, Wible will now face off against incumbent Supervisor Lou Luskis in the GOP primary on May 20.
“Jacob Wible has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to conservative principles and the defense of private property rights,” said Dominic Arzon, chairman of the Private Property Rights PAC.
“We find Jacob to be a strong conservative who will support strong private property rights. His leadership will help ensure that local landowners retain the freedom to control their property, free from unnecessary government interference.”
According to his website, Wible's campaign platform includes opposing all tax increases, preserving and enhancing property rights by cutting regulatory red tape, supporting local small businesses, resisting salary increases for public employees and elected officials, and fostering government transparency and accountability.
As Blair County auditor, Wible wrote the Township's credit card policy, "which allows citizens to be more well-informed of what credit cards the township uses and how they are used."
A March 18 Altoona Mirror article revealed that in 2022 Wible founded Ace Peak Capital Holdings, which purchases properties in Altoona and “invested in the community by repairing the housing stock and providing affordable housing."
A project engineer for Arrow Electric, Wible also co-chairs the Blair/Cambria Young Republicans and is a member of the Blair County Republican Committee and Gun Owners of America.
The Board of Supervisors acts in both legislative and executive capacities. Responsibilities include setting policy, enacting and enforcing ordinances and resolutions, adopting budgets, approving expenditures, and levying taxes. The Board comprises three supervisors who are elected to staggered six-year terms.
