Jeff Moix would bring experience, leadership as Perry County Judge
He seeks the GOP nomination in the March 3 primary
Already with more than a quarter of a century of public service, Jeff Moix wants to use that experience and leadership as Perry County Judge.
Moix is seeking election to the open seat March 3 in the Republican primary. His GOP opponents are Mike Devaney, Tom Barnard and Scott Skinkle.
“My goals are to unify county government and bring transparency, cooperation and open dialogue to the office of the County Judge,” Moix said. “With 26 years of public service, I have learned leadership skills, emergency management, budgeting and running day-to-day operations with honesty and integrity.”
Moix is a retired battalion chief with the Conway Fire Department and helps operate Lee’s Farm on the Arkansas River. He is a member of Conway Firefighters Local 4016 and is a longtime member of the Bigelow Volunteer Fire Department, member of the Saint Boniface Knights of Columbus, board member of the Central Arkansas Firefighters Christmas Boot Drive and current member of the Perry County Cattlemen’s Association.
He is married to Dixie Nutt Moix of Bigelow. They have three children, one son-in-law and one grandchild. Moix is the son of Raymond and Nancy Moix of Conway. Dixie is the daughter of Sherry Nutt and the late Lee Nutt of Bigelow.
Moix said he also enjoy outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, kayaking, hiking and trail riding.
